New Working Paper: Transforming Food Systems Under Climate Change

CICSS Director Dr. Allison Chatrchyan co-authored a recently released working paper titled “Transforming Food Systems Under Climate Change: Local to Global Policy as a Catalyst for Change.” In partnership with the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), the paper explores the need for policy change at multiple levels when catalysing an inclusive and sustainable transformation in food systems. It also finds three specific areas of policy change to be the most impactful:

  1. Reducing emissions and increasing resilience
  2. Tackling food loss and waste
  3. Shifting diets to promote nutrition and sustainability.
